The Phase 2 of the “Financial cum Digital Literacy Drive” was based on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 1. SDG 1.4 under UN SDG 1 aims to ensure that all men and women, particularly the poor and vulnerable, have equal access to economic resources as well as basic services, appropriate new technologies, and financial services for those who work but do not earn a fair living. In 2018, over 8% of employed individuals and their families globally lived in extreme poverty. Rural poverty is three times higher than urban poverty, accounting for 17.2% of the global total. The Financial cum Digital Literacy Drive assists individuals in gaining independence and financial security. The ladies living in the slums and the street vendors are unaware of the widespread usage of online payment services, making them more vulnerable to scams carried out via phone calls and messages requesting scam URLs and OTP sharing. This drive raised awareness among them by teaching them how to use digital payment applications and showing them how to monitor their own spending. The students of the batch 2022-24 assisted the people in resolving issues of how to avoid the potential scams that can happen to them.
